K2 DC Servo Motors with encoder feedback. This servo motor is used on our KG-3925-G. A bigger motor is being implemented for bigger machines. Servo motors offer better performance to stepper motors. The encoder on the servo motors makes the configuration a close loop. The encoder feeds revolution to the control box and assist in preventing lose of steps normally found in stepper motors. K2 servo motors are customer made for K2 CNC. DC servo motors are significantly lower in cost that AC motors. DC servo motors are controllable by the combination of K2 control box with gecko drive system and Mach 2 or Mach 3. Dc servo motors have a broader spectrum of rated torque than steppers. for example our 150 oz/in servo motors are stronger than our 280 oz/in steppers. As steppers reach the max RPM they tend to lose torque.
